Clindamycin belongs to lincomycin antibiotic class of drugs which are mainly used in the treatment of bacterial infections. Adapalene  is a third generation topical retinoids (are the group of compounds produces similar action like vitamin A).The drug produces its bacteriostatic effects by binding to the 50S unit of the rRNA of the bacteria. It inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis by stopping the translocation of the ribosomes.
