Amoxicillin is contraindicated for use in the following conditions:
Infectious mononucleosis.
lymphatic leukemia (increased risk of side effects).
Patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.
Amoxicillin should not be prescribed for patients with severe diarrhea or vomiting because of poor absorbtion.

Mechanism of Action
As we know that Amoxicillin belongs to a class of antibiotics called penicillins. Other members of this class include ampicillin, piperacillin ticarcillin and several others.
